When Disney Junior announced that T.O.T.S., a new show from Travis Braun, the mastermind behind the hit show Vampirina was “coming soon,” I was oddly excited. In a MOM way. I expected to see some young animals overcome various obstacles, learn a few lessons and sing a few songs. That is exactly what I got!
The show premiered back in June and T.O.T.S.: Bringing This Baby Home was released on DVD in August. We are looking at canceling our traditional cable and are grateful to now have this gem of a show available for our library. The show is so good that it was renewed for a second season prior to actually airing on TV!
Best friends Pip (voiced by Jet Jurgensmeyer) and Freddy (voiced by Christian J. Simon), delivery birds for the Tiny Ones Transport Service (T.O.T.S.), take cute and cuddly baby animals to their forever families all over the world, including a big batch of bouncing baby bunnies, a baby panda who’s almost TOO adorable, a trip to the ocean with one whale of a baby, and much more. Just wait until you see the baby sloth episode! They shatter the stereotype that only storks can deliver babies and are joined by K.C. the koala (Megan Hilty) who oversees the nursery and the ever encouraging Captain Beakman (Vanessa Williams).
The DVD includes 7 22-minute episodes, plus 6 music videos and so many baby animals that are too cute to count, these hilarious adventures really deliver! Several of the songs have worked their way into our regular routine, including K.C.’s lullaby.
My daughter is 3 years old and loves watching T.O.T.S.: Bringing This Baby Home. The concepts (such as diversity and patience) are simple enough for her to understand and the show is well written so I can appreciate the humor. It is very cutesy wootsey….consider yourself warned!
